Sustainable Development Education - SDE

At Euroamerican College, we firmly believe in the importance of fostering sustainable living practices, promoting responsible action, and implementing environmentally-friendly behaviors. We encourage the cultivation of knowledge, critical thinking, and proactive engagement to create a healthier and more balanced lifestyle in harmony with our surroundings.

We promote the need to learn – think – act.

Harmonious living

The Great Kindness Challenge

The Great Kindness Challenge is an international initiative aimed at fostering friendships, joy, and wholesome fun. Each member of the educational community receives a booklet containing age-appropriate challenges to be completed within a week. These challenges consist of simple actions that help us cultivate kindness and goodwill in our daily lives.

Well-Being Committee

The Well-Being Committee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading actions that promote harmonious and positive relationships within the educational community.

Community service

Embedded within the values we impart to our students is the importance of sharing and extending help to those in need. They actively engage in diverse activities such as collecting and distributing school supplies and toys through campaigns. Additionally, teaching English classes to local children is an integral part of this program.

Environmental Education

Green Committee

This committee is responsible for coordinating and monitoring awareness-raising activities on topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the environment, such as the appreciation, conservation, and use of natural resources.

Eco-Friendly Activities

Our Environmental Plan aims to instill in our students an understanding, respect, and appreciation for nature. By promoting the care of flora and fauna, waste sorting practices, and the efficient use of resources, we provide a solid foundation for our students to engage with environmental concerns.

Wastewater Treatment Plant

Our wastewater treatment facility operates by transferring sewage, which has been pre-inoculated with anaerobic bacteria, to a biological filter filled with stones and algae that act as natural polishers.

The water then passes through channels containing algae, water lilies, duckweed, fish, and amphibians, completing the purification process without the need for chemicals. The end result is clear, odorless water used for irrigating our gardens. This eco-friendly process not only conserves potable water but also prevents aquifer contamination.
